Pro-tec Group of companies  was  established  in 1996 by its founder, Mr Charlie Tan, as a family business concern. The Group  started off as a trading company of auto parts.  In order to retain control over quality of products, the Group started manufacturing activities via Pro-tec Industries Sdn Bhd (manufacturing of rubber moulded parts, ignition boots, ignition coil parts) and Uni-Pro Wire Industries Sdn Bhd (assembly of ignition wire sets/spark plug wire/ignition leads).
